Box Tracker alternative
Box Tracker is roll-off container software from Cairn Applications at dumpster.software. DRS is a different company: Dumpster Rental Systems at dumpsterrentalsystems.com. Kortex does not plug into Box Tracker. Kortex is the website, the booking, the CRM, Google Ads, and SEO, including for trades that are not dumpsters.
Competitor details in the table are from public pages, as of Oct 2026. They can change. Kortex does not speak for Box Tracker.
Kortex is $300/month plus a $999 one-time setup fee. Google Ads management is included in that plan. You pay Google for the clicks. Kortex does not bill a percent of ad spend.
| Capability | Kortex | Box Tracker |
|---|---|---|
| Price | KortexKortex is $300/month plus a $999 one-time setup fee. Google Ads management is included in that plan. You pay Google for the clicks. Kortex does not bill a percent of ad spend. | Box TrackerAs of Oct 2026, the Box Tracker demo page says services start as low as $200 per month plus a one-time $1,000 setup fee, including tech support, training, and unlimited users, drivers, and trucks. It says the price depends on dumpster fleet size, not the number of drivers, and that they price the account after a call. The pricing URL and the old cost calculator both redirect to that demo page, so a per-dumpster rate is not on the page that loads. |
| Who it is built for | KortexLocal service businesses. A dumpster company books a container for dates. A lawn company runs a recurring route. HVAC books an appointment. Painting and tree service quote the job, then schedule it. Same plan. | Box TrackerAs of Oct 2026, Box Tracker describes itself as cloud software for tracking roll-off containers at a dumpster company. The product pages name Cairn Applications, Inc. This is not Dumpster Rental Systems (DRS) at dumpsterrentalsystems.com. |
| Website | KortexIncluded. Kortex builds and hosts the website. You can edit the photos, the pages, and the prices. | Box TrackerAs of Oct 2026, the Box Tracker homepage and features page do not list a website for the hauler's customers, and they do not list Google Ads management. |
| Online booking | KortexIncluded. A booking can take a card payment through that business's own Stripe Connect account, and the booking lands in the Kortex CRM. Stripe processes cards at 2.9% + 30¢. | Box TrackerAs of Oct 2026, Box Tracker describes an order taker or a dispatcher entering the order, then assigning a driver. It does not describe a customer booking on a site Kortex hosts. |
| CRM and dispatch | KortexIncluded. Customers, bookings, invoices, and a dispatch view of the day. Kortex is not yard-inventory software and it does not do landfill routing. | Box TrackerAs of Oct 2026, Box Tracker publishes a dispatch screen with that day's work orders, container availability, and a 10-day workload, plus reporting for container turnover and inventory. |
| Google Ads | KortexIncluded in the $300/month. Kortex does not bill a percent of ad spend. You pay Google for the clicks. | Box TrackerAs of Oct 2026, Google Ads management is not listed on the Box Tracker homepage or features page. |
| SEO | KortexIncluded with the website on the same plan. | Box TrackerAs of Oct 2026, SEO for a hauler's own website is not listed on the Box Tracker homepage or features page. |
| Driver app and container tracking | KortexNo native driver app and no live container tracking. The office runs the day from the Kortex board. | Box TrackerAs of Oct 2026, Box Tracker publishes Box Tracker Driver, a phone app for navigation, container activity, job-site notes, and tipping fees, and MapIt, a Google Maps view of work orders, containers, and drivers. |
| QuickBooks | KortexQuickBooks is not part of the published plan. Card payments go through the business's own Stripe Connect account. Kortex does not connect to DRS, iCans, Docket, Box Tracker, or any other dispatch product. | Box TrackerAs of Oct 2026, the accounting page says the on-board suite is being built as double-entry bookkeeping. It lists invoices from completed work orders, batch invoicing, and on-board card processing, and says the merchant provider will meet or beat a documented rate. It does not publish that rate. QuickBooks is not named on that page. |
| Reviews | KortexWhen a job is done, Kortex emails that customer your Google review link. Review requests go out by email only, not by text message. | Box TrackerAs of Oct 2026, the demo form includes Review Generation as an item you can ask about. The features page lists confirmation, reminder, and thank-you emails, plus text messaging between the office, drivers, and customers. It does not describe the review product or a price for it. |
| Setup | Kortex$999 once. White-glove setup: Kortex builds the website and sets up booking, the CRM, and Google Ads. You are not handed a blank login. | Box TrackerAs of Oct 2026, the demo page publishes the one-time $1,000 setup fee next to the "as low as $200 per month" line. Box Tracker says they walk through the operation on a call, then prepare the price. |
Who it is for
Choose Kortex if you want the site built, the booking in the Kortex CRM, and Google Ads on one published plan. The same plan covers a rental, a recurring route, an appointment, or a quote that becomes a job.
Stay with Box Tracker if you want their dispatch screen, driver app, and GPS view of containers. As of Oct 2026, their demo page starts at $200 per month plus a $1,000 setup, with the monthly price based on fleet size. Kortex is not that yard system, and it does not connect to it.
Where Kortex is different
- Done for you: the website, online booking, CRM, Google Ads, and SEO are one plan.
- The same plan fits a rental, a recurring route, an appointment, or a quote that becomes a job.
- White-glove setup. The $999 fee is Kortex building the site and setting up booking, the CRM, and Google Ads.
- Built by a former dumpster company owner, for local service businesses, not only for haulers.
