What Skedjul is

Skedjul is a Chrome extension from Kortex Solutions. It reads booking email for one business and adds delivery and pickup events to that business’s Google Calendar.

What Google can allow

When you click Connect Google Account, Google asks you to allow two permissions:

  • Read-only Gmail (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly). Skedjul uses this to find messages from the sender you saved, and only messages whose subject contains the text you saved. It can read those messages. It cannot send mail, delete mail, or change mail.
  • Calendar events (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events). Skedjul uses this to look for an event that is already on the calendar, and to add a delivery or pickup event when that event is not there.

Skedjul does not ask for a broader Gmail permission. It does not request permission to modify, send, or compose mail.

What stays on this computer

The list of Gmail message ids already handled is stored in that Chrome install. Removing the extension deletes that list. Before it creates an event, Skedjul checks the calendar. It does not rely on the message-id list alone.

The sender address and the subject filter are saved in the extension. A business download can place that business’s own saved sender and subject into the extension folder. One business’s sender is not written into another business’s download.

What Kortex does not do

Kortex does not ask for your Gmail password. The dashboard does not read Gmail and does not write calendar events. Inbox scan on the Kortex account stays off unless that switch is saved as on. This page does not turn it on.

Skedjul does not sell Gmail or calendar data. It does not use that data for ads.
